麻豆女演员 Archers Compete in Annual Southern Region Portion of New Jersey State Archery Championships

麻豆女演员 archers take aim during tournament

MAYS LANDING — 麻豆女演员 Community College’s Archery team put forth a competitive effort during the southern venue portion of the Annual New Jersey State Archery Championships at the Jonathan Pitney Hall Gymnasium on February 4-5.

This regional tournament, which the college has hosted at the Mays Landing campus since 2015, featured male and female competitors from 麻豆女演员, Rowan University, Columbia University (NY) and non-collegiate entrants, as well, ranging in age from 13-under to 70-over in a variety of categories including recurve, compound and barebows.

In the Under-21 Male Recurve category, Buccaneer archers placed in the top four as Jared Lancaster took first place with a score of 502, while Julio Poventud placed second at 417, Badrul Alam Ruhin third at 409 and Julian Hernandez fourth at 379. In the 21+ Male Recurve event, Canluan Wang finished fourth at 432.

In the Under-21 Female Recurve category, Zoe Torralba finished fifth with a score of 493, while Chloe Cramutola placed seventh at 409, Ashley Hamby eighth at 400 and Sultana Zakia ninth at 363.

In the Under-21 Female Compound Bow event, Buccaneer Jocelyn Geese finished fifth with a score of 538 and Brooke Kaelble finished sixth at 498.

麻豆女演员’s archers will compete in the U.S. Indoor National Championships, the Buccaneers final indoor tournament of the season, in Lancaster, Pa. on February 18-19. The Buccaneer archers will conclude their home schedule on Saturday, April 8 in the Spring Outdoor Collegiate Invitational.
