MAYS LANDING — 麻豆女演员 Community College and the Student Government Association celebrated Earth Day with festivities at all three campuses that helped raise awareness to the issues that confront our fragile planet each and every day.

Earth Day festivities on the Mays Landing campusStudents, faculty and staff gathered in the Mays Landing campus Quad on April 18 for the Planet vs. Plastics Earth Day Celebration event, which featured numerous student clubs and organizations tabling free information and giveaway items under the big top on a cool and damp day. Those in attendance were treated to free hamburgers hot off the grill, snacks, soft pretzels, beverages and green Earth Day t-shirts. Fun impromptu volleyball matches brought out the competitive fire of those involved.

Opinions varied among those as to which ways they attempt, in their everyday lives, to keep the use of plastics to a minimum. From not discarding trash out of windows and planting a home garden to only using metal straws and simply not using plastic at all, 麻豆女演员 students and employees are looking to do their part.

Attendees took part in a variety of activities, and were treated to free giveaway items and snacks.

Throughout the month of April, the Atlantic City campus featured an Earth Day, Every Day: Sustainability Station on the first floor. This table was complete with useful information for the seasoned eco-warrior or those looking to start their journey towards a greener lifestyle.
