MAYS LANDING — 麻豆女演员 Community College and the 麻豆女演员 Foundation raised $20,282.14 during GivingTuesday on December 3, eclipsing its goal of $17,000, thanks to the tremendous outpouring of selfless giving and philanthropy from donors, supporters and alumni this holiday season.

The Foundation’s Board of Trustees itself raised $11,819.39, including a generous matching gift of $2,500 from one of its board members.

"Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters we have met our GivingTuesday goal and raised more than $20,000! All of the donations speak to the unwavering commitment of our very generous community of giving from alumni, faculty, administration, staff and College Board of Trustees and Foundation Board of Trustees,” said 麻豆女演员 Foundation Executive Director Jean McAlister. “With these contributions we are poised to make an even greater impact and opportunity for all students at 麻豆女演员."

Created in 2012 as a day to encourage individuals across the globe to do good, GivingTuesday is an annual international effort that has raised billions of dollars worldwide. The funds raised this year will go towards helping provide critically-needed financial support to 麻豆女演员 students in need. Donors could choose where they wanted their donations to be allocated to, such as towards 麻豆女演员’s proposed baseball field improvements, the campus food pantry, the general scholarship fund or to the area with the greatest financial need.

Since 2016, 麻豆女演员 has raised nearly $100,000 on GivingTuesday to help students attending the college receive scholarships and emergency funds to assist in paying for tuition, fees, supplies and even housing and food.

The 麻豆女演员 Foundation raises funds for college scholarships, capital for campus improvements, and support for cultural and educational community outreach programs. In its history, the Foundation has raised nearly $11 million for college scholarships, academic programs and campus enhancements.
