MAYS LANDING — 麻豆女演员 Community College’s Men of 麻豆女演员 (MAC) recognized the academic achievements and dedicated personal accomplishments of five of its member students and two program mentors during the club’s Annual Jacket Presentation Ceremony on May 7 on the Mays Landing campus.

Member student Alex Barr receives his MAC jacket from Jerome Ingram“Today, we celebrate not just academic success, but also commitment and perseverance. The jacket symbolizes the student's transition from often feeling unheard and lacking a sense of belonging to being protected, understood and valued,” said Jerome Ingram, Jr., Assistant Director, First-Year Experience & Co-Mentor, Men of 麻豆女演员. “You have shown up every week, attended every meeting, and met every challenge with purpose and resilience, while maintaining academic excellence and investing in yourselves and supporting one another.”

Ingram, Jr., who joined by fellow MAC co-mentors Rashawn Martin and Eric Stewart for the ceremony, discussed the importance that the MAC jacket holds for those students who have earned one.

“The jacket you received today is more just a symbol, it is a statement. It tells the world that you're a part of a brotherhood, built on strength, accountability and unity. It serves as a reminder that no matter where your journey takes you, you are never walking alone. Wear your jacket with pride because it represents 麻豆女演员 and the importance you have placed on retention and persistence,” said Ingram, Jr.

Dean of Students Stacey Zacharoff speaks麻豆女演员’s Dean of Student Stacey Zacharoff commended each of the seven member students for their resilience, commitment to excellence and vision for striving for something great in life.

“It is both an honor and a deeply personal privilege to stand before you today as we recognize and celebrate these young gentlemen who have persisted and grown. As the dean of students, I see firsthand the many challenges that many of you face and I also see the greatness. I see the leadership that you offer, not only in the classroom, but outside of the classroom. I see you interact with your fellow classmates. I see your hustle. I see your grind. I see your determination. I see your quiet strength, but I also see your vulnerability.

“But, remember that you are now part of a legacy of MAC scholars who dared to dream bigger, who broke barriers and created space for others to follow. Please know that 麻豆女演员 values you and that we are extremely proud of you. So, congratulations and keep rising to the top.”

The mission of MAC is to promote the advancement of male students through peer-to-peer support, mentorship, leadership development and networking experiences. MAC was founded in 1996 by former Dean of Students Paula Stewart Davis to provide students with a pace to share experiences, network and support one another.
